What is sponsorship at SCR?

Sponsorship is a way for your organization or business to support community radio in Salmo and at the same time get your message out to the communities of Salmo & Ymir.  Sponsorship is different than advertising you hear on commercial radio.

Commercial radio focuses their programming on playing hits that will bring listeners to their advertisers - the advertising is their primary concern.

Salmo Community Radio airs sponsorships from our supporters allowing us to keep producing great radio programming - the programming will be our primary concern.

Sponsorships are produced without competitive references.  All sponsorship messages will be read in a live-copy manner without annoying sounds, squeaky or loud obnoxious voices at a pace that you can easily follow and understand.

How do I become an SCR sponsor?

  Salmo Community Radio has several options available making  sponsorship very affordable for
  your organization or business: 

 Promotional Rates - Get your message out into the community - Choose between 1 - 5 Spots per day.

  5 Second Mention

    A simple pre-recorded statement that says you support your community radio station. 
    Example:  (name / company / organization) is a supporter of CFAD 92.1 Salmo Community Radio

  15 -30 Second Message

    A 15 or 30 second pre-recorded message that provides information about a particular event, sale,
    your phone, e-mail address or website address.

  Program Sponsorship - Support your favourite radio program - 4 business or personal 10 second mentions per
                                                hour - 16 Weeks Total (4 Months) for a total of 64 spots

    This allows you to sponsor a specific program on the station.  During an hour long program for
    example, you receive a mention four times during the program.  This mention is read live by the
    programmer.
    Example:  This program is brought to you by (name / company / organization).
